Anime North 2013 and Update~

Hey everybody~
I figured I'd finally update my journal.

*Starting with my Anime North Trip - Feel free to skip to the bottom of the Journal and avoid my long winded typing:
We left for Ontario the morning of the 18th of May (we drove through sun, rain, hail and snow O_o) and got to my Aunt's in Trenton's the night of the 19th (where for the next few days I proceeded to finish my Sydney Black Plushie and got bitten alive by mosquitoes....). on Wednesday the 22nd we hit Canada's Wonderland. There were virtually no lines (due to the clouds/ bits of rain and school being in session, minus the few field trip groups) so Mom and my cousin who came with us got on over 18 rides (I found out I can't get on the rides without feeling sick now adays but I still managed 5 so all was well) We got back that night to discover we got sunburned from that single hour of sunshine that day O_O....
Anyways, me and mom left the Friday morning to Toronto, but we got there too early to the hotel so we instead went to the convention to get the badges. Mom sold our extra weekend ticket (My Aunt ended up being unable to come due to her having to have surgery that day) to this man who was unable to get a weekend pass, and he brought us up near the front of the line, where his daughter and her friend were in line. Not 10 minutes later one of the con volunteers spotted mom with her cane so we got moved to the very front of the line (with the guy and his daughters as well ^^) and got our passes first. After that we headed back to the hotel and got our room. I changed into Alice (with Sydney plushie), then went back to the con, where I wandered around a bit and got a couple pictures. I also happened to run into a fair sized group containing Dee, Dum, Boris and Peter, whom didn't hesitate to mob me (I laughed) and I got a couple pictures with them, then went to stand in the line to get into the dealers room. We were once again pulled to the front of the line which was nice, but made me feel really guilty for those who had been waiting longer... There was an issue with the lock on the door (they couldn't open it) so there was a 15-30 minute delay, which kind of sucked since, unlike prior years where it was super hot, this year it was freezing out... So we got in the dealers room ,I spent a bunch of money, we ate, then went back to the hotel to sleep.
Saturday we left the hotel around 1 ish. I was Madame Shyarly that say. We lurked near the front of the convention center (I was the mermaid sitting on the silver exercise ball) I managed to see quite a few tumblr buddies while waiting. We left to the One Piece photoshoot at 4 where I managed to meet up with Alyshia (whom I gave a chibi Vivi doll to) and Kat for a bit before it began. I had begun regretting dragging that stupid ball with me (I needed it because I have a really hard time getting up from the ground in Shyarly and this cuts the effort in half) because I kept feeling like I was getting in the way of the other cosplayers. I do think we need to move the cosplayers back more next year (spread tem out a bit or something) because it was difficult to get through people (and this one guy kept stepping on my feet even though I kept moving out of the way.....) Other than that it was fun and there were a lot of really good cosplays there ^^
After that I changed into Alice and went back in the dealers room (and bought even MORE shit) then went to Jack Astor's for supper with mom (the pasta dish I had was REALLY yummy) then back to the hotel to sleep.
Sunday we packed up from the hotel and I wore Kinana around for a bit (hitting the dealers room ONCE again and spending every last dollar I brought with me) then when time finally hit I headed off to the Fairy Tail shoot (it was fun but a little slow to get started, lot's of late runners) I hate a few nice chats with people (a Wendy, Azuma, and Kirito (SAO but was organizing the photo's) They were all really nice. (I got seriously sunburnt that day )
After that we headed to Barrie where we visitied one of Mom's friends for a few days, then back to Aunt Karen's for a few more days (I actually blacked out for a second while there on the wednesday and would have cracked my skull open if mom hadn't caught me XP), then on the friday morning (May 31) We started the drive back to Nova Scotia, where we got home the night of June 1 to hot and humid weather (after the cool air it was almost unbearable how hot it was), thankfully the heat only lasted a few days....

*So to sum it up, it was a lot of driving, a lot of sun, a lot of weird weather, bad on my wallet but tons of fun ^^
I can't wait until next year if I can go~ (I'll rewear Alice, and maybe make Doflamingo (One Piece), and  an Attack on Titan cosplay (Hanji maybe?) I'll have pictures posted on in the next week or so, so if you're looking for pictures that's where they will show up...

Moving on~
I purchased a new printer not long ago, but I've got a bit of stuff I have to do first (AN pictures, Madame Shyarly questions and Animal Crossing New Leaf comes out this weekend, so that'll occupy my time a bit too ;_

Once I've caught up and updated everything I'll post some stuff here, then open up requests. I figure mid/end of June I'll have everything set and done, so Requests will open then (sorry about the wait) ^^
